DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY
Data security
To protect the security of user data during transmission over the Internet, the publisher uses state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.
The security of personal data is an important concern for the publisher. The publisher follows generally accepted procedures to protect transmitted user data, both during transmission and storage. Despite this, no online data transmission method, or storage method, is 100% secure. For this reason, the Publisher can never guarantee absolute security.
Due to the need for technical protection of data by the publisher, the publisher may store personal data on systems that are beyond the direct access of the publisher (for example, on servers of data centers, hosting partners or on backup servers).
Processing of personal data
Personal data may be collected and processed only in accordance with the rules and laws of data protection.
In certain cases, specifically when the User fills out and submits a form on the Website, it is possible that certain personal data will be stored on the server. The Publisher processes the data provided by the User for the sole purpose of processing the User’s request, and for further communication arising from a possible business relationship between the Publisher and the User.
It is possible that the User’s transmitted data will also be stored on the server for backup or logging purposes and/or for statistical analysis. In this case, the storage period will be a maximum of 26 months, after which the data will be automatically deleted.
This information is considered confidential and is treated accordingly. Therefore, it will never be sold or given to third parties without the prior consent of the user.
The user has the right to access, modify or delete his/her data at any time by writing to the following address: Joanne/Michelle info@autismus-welt.com.
Newsletter
If the website has a newsletter, the user can register there to receive periodic information by e-mail. In this case, the Publisher requires a valid email address, which the subscribing User will submit through the corresponding form. The User confirms to be the owner of the submitted email address and gives his/her consent to receive emails by the Website or the Publisher for an indefinite period of time.
The newsletter subscription process, or the consent required for it, is logged for the purpose of complying with the applicable data protection legislation. This log includes the user’s e-mail address, the registration date, the user’s IP address, as well as the user’s language preference and any information voluntarily/optionally provided by the user during registration (name, newsletter topics, or similar).
Unsubscribing from the newsletter
The user has the right to unsubscribe from receiving the newsletter (in its entirety or only specific topics) at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the end of a newsletter. For technical reasons, the user’s email address may remain in the publisher’s database after the user has unsubscribed from the newsletter. This allows the publisher to avoid unwanted newsletter re-enrollment or reactivation of the subscriber. In this case, the user’s e-mail address will be stored as an inactive record, and will not be used in any case for sending any newsletters.
Newsletter Statistics & Tracking
The sent newsletters contain so-called „web beacons“. These are invisible 1×1 pixel images, the call of which allows the publisher to determine when the recipient opens the newsletter completely. The newsletters may also contain so-called „trackable links“, which enable the publisher to determine when the user clicks on a link in the newsletter.
The aim of this measurement procedure is not to determine individual user actions, but to collect statistical and anonymous information that enables the publisher to make the newsletters more technically reliable and more relevant in terms of content.
All user-specific measurement data for a newsletter (newsletter delivery, opening signals, click signals) is automatically and permanently deleted after a maximum period of 48 months after the newsletter has been sent.
